Is it harmful to use X-rays to diagnose pregnant women?
X-rays are performed on pregnant women only when clinically indicated. According to recommendations, radiologic examinations can be performed in the second half of pregnancy in cases where there is no question of termination of pregnancy or emergency care.
Is a person exposed to radiation in normal life?
Each of us is exposed to radiation on a daily basis, along with cosmic radiation and solar radiation, radiation from the earth's crust, and radiation from certain building materials. Beyond that:
- — for a three-hour flight in an airplane you will receive a radiation dose of 40 µSv
- — a flight from Moscow to New York and back is already 200-240 µSv
- — 400 µSv is the annual radiation dose that an average person receives with food.

What is a CT scan for?

- — For successful implantation. The CT scan allows you to select the optimal site for implant placement, minimizing possible complications.

Can a doctor order an x-ray without an indication?
It's not allowed. Diagnostic X-rays should not just be prescribed, they must be justified and are only prescribed for clinical indications.
