What is sedation

Types of sedation
Deep sedation

Superficial sedation
However, surface sedation is most commonly used in dentistry. This is a state in which the patient does not lose the ability to follow the instructions of the attending physician and is in a state of mild relaxation. Like deep sedation, superficial sedation requires the presence of local anesthesia.
Sedation is most often used when extracting teeth, especially multi-rooted teeth. The type of drugs and their dosage are determined differently for each person depending on the patient's body reaction. A team of professional anesthesiologists is present at each operation.
